Share 3 things you feel grateful for today.
How to do it
Take a few moments to reflect on three things in life you're grateful for. Your list can include anything or anyone you appreciate - and no item is too small. Here are a few ideas to help you get started: a friend who makes you laugh, the smell of your favorite flower, the happy look you get from your pet when you play with him, or the heat and hot water in your home.
Why it matters
Taking time for thankfulness can boost your happiness! Gratitude helps us focus on the positive aspects of our lives, and lessens feelings about what we might wish we had. Not only that, research shows that conscientiously expressing gratitude also may improve physical health, raise energy levels, and relieve pain and fatigue in some people.
"Thank you" is "ashoge" in Apache, "grazie" in Italian, "arigato" in Japanese, "tack" in Swedish and "sagol" in Turkish.
I'm thankful for the big things: healthy family, good friends, and a comfortable home. I'm thankful for the convenient things: steady work, a reliable (and cute car), finding a theater on opening weekend of Breaking Dawn and was able to get great seats without waiting in line. Finally, I'm thankful for the pleasant things: purple tulips can be bought at Safeway 24 hours a day, taking a run outside is the easiest way to clear your mind, and SOA is still on DirecTV.
I am grateful that I have one more day to get it right.
I am grateful that I am doing the work I love and I am rewarded creatively and financially.
I am grateful that I serve an awesome God.
I am grateful that I am crowned with favor and abundance.
I am grateful and so thankful that I am a blessing to people all over the world.
God has blessed me in so many ways and I give thanks daily. My wrist is healing quickly. My herb garden smells wonderful. My husband decided to work at home tonight instead of his office at school.
