Leave one thing off your to-do list.

How to do it

As you make today's to-do list, think about one task that you can complete another day. It can be anything at all, from cleaning the kitchen floor to returning an email. Already made your to-do list? Revisit it and see if there is something that can be moved to a different day.

Why it matters

A too-packed to-do list can be tough on your mental health! Holding off on certain tasks can protect your happiness and well-being. Research shows that people who strongly value their social lives - versus choosing to spend extra time at work or on household chores - are happier. That pile of laundry will still be there when you come back for it tomorrow!
