Break your daily routine and find a few minutes to move that body.

How to do it

Is it always the "same old, same old" day after day? Most people have a daily routine that can get, well, routine. First, think about something you always do at roughly the same time. Got something in mind? Before you do it today, move your body. For example, if you always take a break in the afternoon, take a short stroll beforehand. If you normally watch TV after dinner, then do some stretches first, before you tune in. Whatever you choose is fine - the point is to move that body first.

Why it matters

Although most people need to have some sort of daily routine, doing the same things day after day can get pretty dull! Introducing something new into your day can improve your mental-well being by providing a little surprise for that bored brain. And walking is a great way to raise your heart rate and get your blood moving - another treat for your body and mind.
