Love this challenge...I do this exercise all the day whenever I need to calmm down or destress. Where will I go tonight? umh...With fall startingto peek it's head into the south, I think I'll go to my library. There's huge wooden double doors that are accented with old time nail heads. The ancient doors can tell almost as many stories as the books inside. The handles on the doors are hand hammered iron rings. As I slowly open the doors the smwll of leather bound books intice meinto the room. It's dimly lit but my breath is taken away by the sights. There is a large stone fireplace on the far wall. the flickering flames bounce off the hardwood floors. On the side wall are to huge stained glass windows, flanked with deep red velvet curtains that drag on the floor. The curtains are tiesd bach with gold en braided cords with tassels. When you open the windows you look onto the gardens before your eys search out the countryside. Closing the windows, the setting sun shines through the windows allowing the light to create a dancing rainbow on the wooden floors. Turning you look at the massive bookshelves. Cherrywood bookshelves that start at the floor and end at the high ceilings. everybit of free wall space is covered in books. Books of all sizes, shapes, topics, languages and eras. There'a a library ladder on each wall so that no book is unreachable. In front of the warm fireplace are two overstuffed leather chairs, each with it's own leather footstool. Between the chairs is a table with a reading lamp and cup of hot tea just waiting for me. Across the stool is a soft throw blanket to keep me warm. I pick my book up from the table, take a sip of tea and settle into my chair to read......... sweet dreams DC friends
