G'evening everyone.. except for ya'll who are snoozing already. :-) Then it's G'morn, (for tomorrow) Many Thank You's to Princess, Jennifer & Beth for the nudge to get off my duff and get my DC done!
Thank YOU, Thanks Theenk Yee! and mucho gracious! :-)
Today was a perfect day for this ...picture a place of calm next time I feel stressed... because I did just this today.
That's right, I left home mid morning to take the little car back to the Honda place and either get Curvy back, look again at another CRV, Curvy has been the best!.. oops.ya'll don't know this.. well, guess I didn't poke my fingers back on DC last night, but yesterday I drove a little hybrid home because as I was climbing into the CRV to test drive it, a really pretty flutter of RED glinted off the back window of some car on the lot... so when we (sales guy & I) returned from my spin around the dance floor with the 2012 CRV,
, I asked about that sleek little RED number, walked over to it and she grinned fender to fender. Well... dahh, of course, I had to look inside... opened the back door-the hatch, dropped the rear seats forward flat, and wow, I bet 20-30 of my paintings could fit in there... with a 36x48 on top of the stack, as long as no really big ones..... hummm...
"no, no!, it's a car"... don't want a car, am a full-blooded pick-up gal, besides a CRV stole my heart for 11 years as long as no horses needed to go anywhere.. 200,000 miles plus... CVR gets great gas mileage, fairly comfy and loves mud, hills and rocks.. and this? this RED cutie was whispering in my ear. I tried to plug them and even mutter "dadaahummmnananadadphootttthyphooftttt!" while ears plugged & eyes closed, but... do you think when they asked if I wanted to drive lil' red sweetpea, ...did I say.. NO,-- of course not! Hopped right in and that little stinker felt pretty good, and so, yes, just for kicks, drove her home to meet my hubby and cuss & discuss the pro's & con's..
Took her back this morning in the rain, lovely wonderful light rain all day! And after around 3 hrs of more talking, looking, sitting in new CRV, back in Sweetpea, giving the sales guys the dickens of a teasing,, and then, visit with my hubby, -- who had to work this Sat., (only 3- -4 x a year maybe, and today was his turn to supervise ) so I'd visit with him via cell ph.
His voice is like a calm pool of clear water. And yes, one time while sitting in car alone to just "feel" it, I did close my eyes and put myself at hubby's side, with his arm around me.. and that is a wonderful calm place to be at a time my mind was realizing I was serious going to let Curvy go, decide which member of the Honda family I would bring home for dinner-- for the next 10 years.. so yep, a tad stress inched its way around my mind, not to mention those sales guys, they learned pretty quick "I don't believe a word of it", and that the only sales person I needed at the Honda house was my old Curvy.. he's the best-ever reason to stick with that family...
And yes, that warm strong, quiet shoulder in my mind was perfect place to drift to, take a deep breath and then, after collected, walk back in the office and let them know.. Lil RED Sweetpea, humm, guess I named her as wrote here.. haha, Yep, I claimed her and things "FEEL" right.
Funny sorta, because, on my way to dealership this morning from home, I turned her radio on and it was tuned to an oldie channel, old time waltz.. old Roy Rogers songs.. and it took me back to my folks.. they loved to listen to the Polka, waltz dance channel on TV, they loved to dance.. and my dad always said.. "Any color is good as long as it's red." I feel like they were sending me a message in the mist of soft rain, after the terrible dry spell.. the music, the color catching my eye the day before..
My sweetie helped with all the pro's--cons, he figured lots of numbers and he was right there on phone, or in my mind. And we are now the proud parents of Little Miss Sweetpea, a RED sporty looking "Insight", hybrid, 40--44 MPG est. She has pep, she has room enough, I hope.. but I always have the pickup and 4 horse trailer if need be..haha
She hasn't spooked at a single mud puddle! She will carry on Curvy's tradition of carrying my art stuff, she'll get his license plates, ICOLOR and we have two books to read so we can learn how to tune the radio, work the blue-tooth, and yadayadayadda... :-)))) and I am plum tickled. And wrote way too much!
I hope ya'll have a blessed Sunday, smile and dance a few waltz steps.. :-) hugs everyone!!
Hey, my packie..!! wheeeee, Kris!! we can zip all over! Day one was a different day for me!! I sure hope you kept us grounded!! One of us needed to have some sense!! :-)) see ya'll in the morning, daylight saving time.. don't forget!! :-)

you crack me up.. chickapoo... ha, my dad used to call me "Kickapoo" and "The last of the mohicians" at times when I was little.
The right land will come to you right when it's suppose to, and it will be JUST RIGHT, not too hot, not too cold, HE has HIS ways. :-) But tis good to keep those eyeballs open wide so not to miss it when HE does float it in front of you. :-)

Kathryn, Kary, thanks, :-) even after driving around today, even like her better! :-)

My hubby calls our last born that-"the last of the mohicians", that is.
So, so happy for you that you got that "feeling" about your Sweetpea!!! That's so great!! I'm sure your Moma and Stepdaddy would be so happy for you, girl!!! That music on the radio was a sign, for sure!
Hope you have a restful night!!!:)

Alright DC... I'm actually feeling extremely stressed where a migraine is coming. =(
I picture my task at hand being complete and imagining what that will feel like - being complete.
Baby steps and I'll get it complete, I will!
