Visit a website to learn how to donate old eyeglasses.

I don't wear glasses, but this is still great to know, maybe I'll buy some at the thrift store, and drop 'em in a donation box.

I LOVE book sales!!! It'll have to be on a lunch break though. I don't have any books to donate, I already did that =( And, actually I'm broke until payday, so @#$%!!! I hate missing a book sale. Way to be checkin in touch with the community though Katie ;)

This is great to know!!! I have a really old pair that I just didn't want to throw away and I've been holding onto ... for this!!! Good to know they can go to someone who really needs them because without my glasses or contacts, I can scarcely see, so I c an appreciate helping someone who is that boat, too!! ~♥~

I have 2-3 pairs of eyeglasses that I've been holding onto so that I can donate them. Unfortunately, there isn't a Lion's Club around here. Our local LensCrafters used to take them, but they removed their box a couple of years ago and sometimes I'll see something at Wal-Mart but it's kind of hard to find as they don't always have it out. I have one pair that has the clip on sunglasses that were made for them that I'm sure someone could appreciate. I'm legally blind without my glasses, but I don't think I'm the only person who can benefit from corrective lenses! So, I will box up my glasses and mail them into the Lion's Club. Thank you, DC, for reminding me to take care of this.
Heather, thank you so much for accepting my pact request!! We're off and running!! I'll go check out what your challenge for today is and see if I can knock it out.
Y'all have a great Wednesday!!

I've given glasses before where I used to live. Just did a web search and found that there is a doctor in our area who collects and takes them once a year when he makes a mission trip to Africa.

Our WYCA collects glasses also the eye doctor does as well and then he fixes them up and gives them out to people who cant afford them.
