Healthy Behaviors is about lifestyle habits, namely healthy eating and physical activity, which have proven connections to lifelong health and disease prevention.
Engage both your core and back muscles by stretching in the plank position.

Love this yoga excercise! Talk about core stretches? This is one of the best in my opinion! Nameste!
Here we go Inge! Lot's DO IT!! =-)
How to do it
Put down a towel, blanket, or yoga mat. Start by getting down on your hands and knees, then bend your arms and lower your elbows onto the floor. Keep your knees and lower legs on the floor and, working one at a time, slide your elbows out in front of you until your body is straight like a plank. Hold this position for 5 seconds.
Why it matters
Plank position is one of the best all-around yoga poses for engaging both abdominal and back muscles. The simple action of having to hold your body weight against gravity strengthens your abs and engages your back muscles. It also gives your shoulders a bit of a workout.

I used to do this one a lot, and now, not so much. Its still a good one tho.

I had to look up this one also...and on the floor , again! I need a yoga mat.
This one is a little hard for me. I actually started with the child's pose and gave my lower back a good stretch, then rocked up to a pseudo plank. I'm sure my form wasn't correct, but I felt it in my arms and upper back did feel it.
But this is a good one. I think if I did this one a lot, I might be able to do a push up eventually!

A pirate walks into a bar.
The bartender looks up and says "hey! you've got a steering wheel in your pants."
The pirate replies "Arrrrr, it's driving me nuts."

I'm missing my yoga class this week. Can't wait to get back to it next week. Home practice is good, but class is the best!

When I first saw silly people risking their lives doing this I decided I would never participate.
