Take a few minutes to throw away all your pens that don't work.
How to do it
How often do you pick up a pen, and when it doesn't work, you just put it back instead of throwing it away? Go through your pen collection and get rid of any pens that don't write - if they didn't write this time, it's a pretty sure bet that they aren't going to write the next time you reach for them.
Why it matters
Looking for a pen that works is frustrating and wastes time, two things that can contribute to feeling stressed-out. Plus, useless clutter makes you tense, inhibits creativity, and affects your workday. Gaining a sense of control over your environment - even a minimal one - can improve your mood and well-being.
During World War II, pilots used ballpoint pens instead of fountain pens because they don't leak at high altitudes.
YES! do this regularly to end frustration and sometimes a big mess! Ever have have a globby, gloppy pen to just ooze out in your hand, on your clothing, in your purse? YUCK!
Blessings, love & light!
Had a good clean out
Did that this past Sunday when I was attempting to clean my bedroom.
I do this regularly because it bugs me when I reach for a pen and it doesn't work. Plus, I hardly use ball points anymore. I can tell when my roller balls run out of ink!
I did this in two places that become pen hogs- my bedroom drawer and my purse!
I did alot of this as I was cleaning out my studio/workspace.
ended up cleaning my whole desk
Simply done! Whenever I pick up one that doesn't write, I simply chuck it in the nearest wastebasket...like playing basketball! For some reason, I feel good when I make the shot!
