Emotional Health focuses on daily experiences related to happiness, enjoyment, sadness, and stress in evaluating overall well-being.
Stand in front of the mirror and say at least 1 thing you like about the way you look.
How to do it
Look at yourself in the mirror. Pick at least one thing you like about the way you look, and say it aloud. It could be anything at all, such as "I like my big, brown eyes," "I love my long fingers," or "I'm so happy that haircut is growing out!" It doesn't matter what it is, just as long as it celebrates some aspect of you.
Why it matters
With all the pressure people face to be more thin, beautiful, handsome, and so on, it's easy to forget that there is simply one and only YOU! Focusing on a positive aspect of your face, hair, or body doesn't make you vain - it makes you appreciate your own uniqueness and can bolster your self-esteem.
During the Elizabethan Era (1533 to 1603), a mirror was the most sought-after item that a person could hang on his wall. It was much more valuable than a painting.

I stood right in front of the mirror and said who are you? You know as one gets older things don't
look the same. And with a smile I said oh yes I do remember you. Your heart is even more beautiful
than before, my smile is a bit tweeked but ever so gentle and happy. And on I went with many parts of my body, with the discussion thank you Lord they all still work amd better yet with a sound mind.Thank you this was an adventure.

My hair...it took so long to grow back after the chemo, and it's gotten so long (down to my bra strap in the back if you straighten out the curl!) that I have to smile every time I see it!! : )

This requires a 180 degree change in that self-talk we all do, for me anyway. Like the Pink song says "Learn to like you instead..."
Well, I am really trying. We should all keep this one up daily, ladies.

GOOD CATCH, Kayla! My little sister called me once when Iwas down and out and made me listen to the lyrics and she said "I think you should listen to this a lot when you tell yourself you're worthless.." You can't imagine how much that helps me, even still.
