How to do it

Pick a song that represents how you want your day to go. Then either play the real song in your home, car, or office - or sing it out loud while you're making lunch, running errands, or doing housework. Upbeat, down tempo, soul, country, hip hop - the choice is yours!

Why it matters

Anything that helps you feel more in control is bound to help as you make your way through the day. It's easier to face the challenges of a tough boss or huge load of laundry when James Brown's got your back! And if you sing your theme song, it can even help to improve your mood, because singing releases feel-good hormones called endorphins.

Fun fact
