I am surprised how good this stretch is so I am also going to add this to the daily routine.
Grab a towel and extend your spine with 2 seated or standing side bends.
Challenge completed late
How to do it
Sit or stand and hold a rolled-up towel, placing your hands about 12 inches apart. Raise your arms above your head, keeping them (and your back) nice and straight. Inhale deeply, then exhale and lean your upper body to the left side. Inhale and return to your starting position, then exhale and repeat on your right side.
Why it matters
Movements that flex and extend your spine improve overall spine health. The primary muscles used in this exercise are called the obliques. Strong oblique muscles can help prevent lower back pain injury, improve posture, and even support your lungs for improved breathing.
