Healthy Behaviors is about lifestyle habits, namely healthy eating and physical activity, which have proven connections to lifelong health and disease prevention.
Get up and go: Choose one morning this week to take a short walk, and put it on your calendar.
- Cynthia R.Flourishing
Given my schedule this week, it is either going to have to be tomorrow morning or Friday morning (but the weather looks like it might not cooperate -- rainy and COLD). Maybe a really short one tomorrow morning, depending on how damp it looks. Today's weather was glorious, but I spent most of it inside helping people sort out their problems (somebody's got to do it!).
Hope that the start of everyone's week was awesome and that this week's pact with my friend, Abby is a blast! I am sure it will be.

Yep, this would be very difficult for me too, unless wandering around my yard would count. :)

I hear you about spending beautiful days inside helping others with problems! Here's hoping the weekend will be good. :) And I love your dedication to these walks, keep it up!

Ok, I'll walk Thursday morning before the funeral. Might be a nice way to clear my head, and it's not supposed to rain.

Okay...but this is silly! I go for a walk EVERY night (unless its raining!). I love walking in the evenings and it's the 1st thing I want to do after I eat dinner. Jimmy & I walk together and recap our day. It's a nice relaxing time and I wish we could go on even longer walks. Walking in the morning will mean I'll have to do it sans Jimmy, and I purposefully get up at the same time every morning- as that is the best way to ensure you get enough good sleep- so I will NOT change my clock. Since I always save about 20 minutes each morning to relax and check my e-mail or play a game, I will have to forgo that for a walk. However, I will STILL take my evening walk. This track isn't really made for folks who already walk. :/

You got to be kidding I'm up every morning lately and walking. We collected about the same $30 worth today and hubby found $3.50 in change. Found a hammer and a 32 Iphone that has a broken face. So the kid wants to get a charger cord for the iphone so he can play with it. I picked up a hook attached to a piece of heavy chain that might keep my little green house from being blown over.
Now on to the house work I put off to go out today. Carrots and peas planted. Today beet, lettuce and kohlrabi. When I diet I like to cut the kohlrabi up and eat it raw. It sort of has a turnip/radish taste.

I'm going to go with Saturday, since most other days, I am up before sunrise, and out the door to work shortly after...and, I guess, I usually walk most mornings...but never on Saturdays, so that'll be a nice change. :)

Well, friends, this posting is going to be short. The Grand Procession will take place on Tuesday, that's tomorrow at 6 am. In case of rain, pouring down hard rain that an umbrella does little good with, The Grand Procession will take place on the next sunlite morning at the same stated time. What more can I say other than I am NOT a morning person (but maybe it will help me sleep better!).
The Daily Challenge instructions were:
"How to do it
Pick a day this week that you'll go for a short walk first thing in the morning. To help make it happen, have your shoes or sneakers and comfortable clothes next to where you sleep. Set your alarm for a time that will allow you to take your walk, eat breakfast, and prepare for your day without feeling rushed.
Why it matters
By the end of the day, it's easy to feel drained and tired. The idea of going for a walk at that point might feel overwhelming and like the last thing you want to do. However, in the morning - after a good night's rest - your mind and body are ready to exercise. A quick morning walk can set you up for success and leave you feeling more energized all day long.
In Oregon each year there are groups of walkers and runners alike that participate in the 200-mile (321 km) "Hood to Coast" relay every year. The first wave of the relay begins at 3:30 AM."
Queenie, I am so heartfully sorry to have our pact end today. It has been my pleasure to have been your humble pact partner and I truly look forward to repeating it very soon. You are a love and a lady and you are the Queen.
Many smiles and hugs until tomorrow when you can expect an early morning posting after my step-drag early morning Procession. Love to all,

I love my nighttime walks! I enjoy seeing the moon and stars. And the late, great Motley taught me to enjoy walks at any time in any weather!
