Hello DC friends!!! I've finally made it back!!
My resolution is to make creative meals again...I dined at a vegan restaurant called Candle 79 in NYC, and the food was fabulous...So...I have just ordered their cookbook, and resolve to make something from it at least once per week..Can't wait!
I resolve to be more active in my home--more organized, more exercised, more creative.
My theme this summer for life and my art work is "Purge"...out with unproductive, in with the positive.
Everyday I try hard to be productive, and use my time wisely. There is nothing more precious.
I never set New Year's resolutions, but only when I need them - there is no reason to be trapped by a specific date. I think I need to resolve to provide for more me time again. I think I will go back to my weekly schedule that is on my whiteboard and update it, then try to stick with it.

Small and manageable?
I'm awful at keeping my nails manicured.
I resolve to do a better job at nail care, making my hands more attractive for my customer service related job. Writing for and dealing with customers face to face.
Make and share 1 small, manageable resolution - no "New Year's" needed.
How to do it
Think about a small change you'd like to make and then share your resolution - no "New Year's" timing necessary! Your change could be as small as spending more time brushing your teeth every day or keeping your cool when talking to your sister-in-law on the phone each week. As long as it positively affects your life and well-being, it's a good resolution.
Why it matters
Making resolutions helps you actively take stock of your life and what you can do to improve it. The problem is that many of us only make them at the start of a new year! Plus, we tend to make the resolution so broad ("I want to lose weight," for example) that we set ourselves up to fail. By picking one, small manageable change that we can try out - at any time of year - we create a situation in which we're more likely to succeed.
New York City's famous New Year's Eve ball dropped for the first time in 1907. It was 5 feet (1.5 m) in diameter and weighed 700 pounds (318 kg). Today, it's a 6-foot (1.8 m) globe weighing 1,070 pounds (486 kg).
I thought about this one all last week as my boss had said something that hurt my feelings and made me upset!!!.... but instead of holding it in and letting it put a negitive feeling on the job I love, I decided to tell him how I felt. So i did this yesterday!! It was great!!! We had a great talk and he let me know that he would never knowingly say something to hurt me. He told me he LOVED the job I was doing and if he EVER had a problem with the way I do my job he would tell me straight out.
So that was really great!!
so my resolution is to always talk to the person who has hurt my feelings and stop keeping it bottled up until I over flow with bad feelings and say or do something stupid!!!
My resolution is to schedule 1 hour each day to be ready for job interviews by the second week of July.
1. Collect job descriptions for my ideal job at 3 or more target organizations.
2. Update my resume to include experience and skills that match ideal jobs.
3. Take at least 1 skills test each week on oDesk.com.
4. Update oDesk, Dice and LinkedIn profiles.
5. Schedule haircut.
6. Purchase appropriate interview clothes.
7. Select and meet with one permanent and one contract placement agency.
I have been spending the majority of my time developing skills and building my network. Ready or not, it is time to get out there in the real world and see what I can do!
This one is actually hard for me because I hate stating that I am going to do something. I hate resolutions especially the New Year's kinda. :P Thank you Linda for the encouragement b/c I really wasn't going to do this one.
To do Pilates this week. I've been putting it off for 3 weeks now. I've done pilates before but not this kind. I don't know if I will like it so, I will do it this week. That's all I am willing to give to this challenge. Thank you :P
Sorry everyone... spent the last 7 hours at the hospital with my mom as she underwent treatment.
No resolutions for me right now... too pooped.
