It was wash-the-bed-sheets day and the bed has extra pillows on it. It looks rather festive. Often I will not make the bed (blush for shame!) because the kitties just look too comfy to make them move. I have their plop cloths in place: a fuzzy red cloth and a green towel for extra comfort and to protect the quilt my friend made and drove 450 miles to deliver. It is a beautiful quilt, but Barbara as a cat person would not ask me to keep the kitties off the quilt she made.
It is the middle of the night again, but I took a way big nap this morning after eating a gigundous breakfast. So, I am more alert than usual at this hour. i even did remarkably well on my Lumosity brain games for this hour of the night. How I will feel when I awake in the morning is another thing.
Hugs&Peace, You Guys!
Quick clean up today getting ready for visit from my daughter and her boyfriend.
Have a great weekend everyone!
That could be a monumental task right now. Everything is getting sorted as to what to pack for the move and what to get rid of. Maybe I'll just make a box fort!
We got a new microwave--smaller footprint, more power, not black--which meant cleaning (yikes!) and freecycling the old one. I got carried away and did more cleaning, including sweeping the front porch to prep for a stripping, priming, and painting (safety red!) our wrought iron porch railings. And washing the wall where the dog hangs out. Then we brought in the new oven and arranged and rearranged. It is nice to have more counter space. I think this was more than a mini-makeover.
I moved the bowl of fruit from the counter to the middle of the table. Daisy Dog took several of her toys and scattered them around in new places....very feng shui : )!
I hope you all have had a great Saturday. I've been recovering from an all night Relay For Life, so spent half the day sleeping and the other half wishing I still was asleep!
Debra. Day 2 has come and gone!!
I will do this tonite when I get back from going out and shopping with my daughter. Maybe I will pick up something for my room. :)
Day 4 with the ever so lovely, Susie!! ♥
Have a stupendous day, dear friends!!
Yet another challenge in the Pleasant Pauses that sounds like work... Hmmmmm. But, on a brighter note I'm actually already doing this in TWO rooms! We're remodeling the office so that it'll accommodate me as well (was just the hubby's...and even though it reeks of cigarette smoke, I think if I get a purifier and keep ME by the window I should be just fine)... and I'm still moving stuff about in my oldest son's room (the one who now lives in FLA with his fiancee). That room will now become a guest room as my desk and bookcases (yep I have FOUR HUGE ones ~ remember I was an ENGLISH teacher!! LOL!!) and two filing cases will come down to the office. Then we will probably keep his futon...and I will bring his papasan chair/loveseat and entertainment center down from the attic. Guess I gotta really move a lot of stuff around here!! LOL!! Hmmmm... need some music for that...
I like the whole Feng Shui stuff they were talking about in the "Why it Matters" and I absolutely burst out laughing when I read that Feng Shui practitioners believe that if you keep the toilet lid open it sucks all the positive energy out of your home!! Guess THAT's what's happening around here!!! LOL!!!
Soooo gotta run upstairs and close the two toilet lids upstairs and can't forget the one downstairs!! Hahahahahahaha!!! Gotta keep as much positive energy in this home as possible!! LOL!!
Well, Mom... it's our Hump Day!! Can't believe it!! I mean... already??? I thought we just started this thing yesterday! LOL!! Gonna celebrate with a movie tonight... having one of my MAJOR headaches so gonna stay away from people like Capt Morgan...and Jose... and the vino today... gonna just curl under the covers in the dark and watch a movie while the hubby and daughter go to the annual Family Fish Fry... (seems like I always get a headache and can't go to this event........Hubby's really upset this time... mostly cuz I didn't cook anything for the covered dish thingy part of it.. oh well).
Gloomy out today...good day actually to curl up with a book or a good movie... Hope all my DC buddies are doing well... and remember to close your toilet lids guys!!! LOL!!
Done - I have done a quick re-arrange in my dining room...looks great

Give one room in your house a mini-makeover by moving a few small items to new places.
ஐ¤*¨¨*¤¨°o.O(How to do it)O.o°¤*¨¨*¤εïз
Move a few small things to a new spot in one room today. Swap some wall art, move framed photos on your coffee table, re-order a bookshelf, or find an unexpected place for a lamp. Don't be afraid to experiment - if something doesn't look right, you can always put it back or try it in another spot!
Redecorating can have a tremendous impact on both your physical and mental health. In fact, the Chinese practice of Feng Shui is based on this premise. It suggests that small changes - such as creating more light in your home or moving decorative items and plants to higher spots - can improve your mood. In addition, freshening up your space even a little can make a room more pleasant and interesting to be in.
This is a great challenge for me today I am a HUGE FAN of HGTV & all of their shows I love to decorate (however, I not that great at it) but I love the challenge of attempting it. Today I will makeover the downstairs bedroom by moving the two beds to opposite walls (east-west facing), taking out the large dresser and replace it with a smaller one. I will put the sofa in front of the two large windows and the TV on the North-facing wall then put down a nice area rug in the middle of the floor. I will take the excess clutter & put it in a closet to be dealt with later.
of course will have help from my wonderful daughters.
think I’d make HGTV Designers David Bromstad, Vern Yip & Genevieve Gorder proud of my mini-makeover.
