Pledge to end your "screen time" at least 1 hour before bedtime tonight.
How to do it
Tonight, pledge to stop watching TV, playing video games, or looking at your computer or phone at least one hour before you go to bed.
Why it matters
Watching your favorite show or catching up on Facebook might be fun right before bed, but it can interrupt your sleep and make for a less restful night. That's because the light and motion from the screen activates the brain and creates an alertness that can keep us awake. Powering down early lets your brain relax and get ready for good rest, and good rest means you'll be better able to deal with whatever challenges the next day throws your way.
Giraffes sleep only about 2 hours per day, in short bursts - and all while standing!
I started this awhile ago... it makes a big difference ;) No laptop, TV, phone, etc. ...just a 'lil downtime before bedtime... so I can relax ~ actually, I'm going to start doing my 'Evening Pages' & then writing in my 'Gratitude Journal' again. It will be the Perfect way to end my day! ;o)
I think I will use that time to read a book :)
Just turned everything off and enjoyed the peace and quiet
i do this most everynight
i did this last night
Actually I've been doing this for the past 3 nights. And I really do fall to sleep faster! YEA! Love them zzzzzzzzz's
I'm going to try no screens after dinner today. Thus will be harder when summer is over and I'm back to teaching at 8 am...
I'll try to do it, I like listen to music before sleep. Sometime I watch movies but often fall asleep during
Did it last night. Result, less sleep, up 3 times during night. Will stick to my own schedule which includes ending a movie, going to bed and then enjoying Quiet Time reading God's Word. Result, usually a solid night's sleep.

I will try really hard to do this tonite. I don't have cable but I just rented "Heroes" and started getting into the series so I have been staying up late and watching it....falling asleep to it even. I will watch one or two episodes tonite then promise myself to take a relaxing bath, make a cup of chammomile, and read my new yoga magazine before bed.
