For much of my life I was a Library Manager.
Married now for the second time round and between us we have 4 children and 1 grand daughter.
Live a block from the beach on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia and now about to venture to the Clarence Valley in Northern NSW.
No Pacts for me.
Plan to sit up front at an upcoming meeting, group gathering, or class.
I am attending my compulsory Ongoing Professional Development Course tomorrow......and as I am also presenting, I best sit up the front!
Today's photo is me feeding the giraffe at Canberra Zoo.......great interactive zoo experience.
Today's quote : “In bigger classes, students in front do tend to be better students,” That being said, if you tell a bad student to sit up front, it’s not going to do a lot.”
List 3 self-criticisms you often think about yourself, and pledge to turn them into positives.
1. I can be impatient with myself.
2. I often overload myself then berate myself for not getting through the load.
3. I can be very critical of my body.
I will treat myself gently as I turn these criticisms into positives.......I am aware that I do these things, and often laugh at myself when I catch myself out.
Today's photo is my hubby feeding a lion at Canberra zoo. The zoo has a walking tour at feeding time........a fabulous experience.
Today's quote : “Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.” Louise L. Hay
Thanks for the E, Nicola.
Slowly slide down the wall and sit in an invisible chair for a count of 5.
My tummy certainly felt this!
Today's photo is of the dam wall at Cataract Dam.........not far from yesterday's dam, and a large supplier of Sydney's water. Built over 100 years ago, and set in stunningly beautiful gardens, it is a popular picnic destination.
Today's quote : "What I want to know is: Why is it important to have visible stomach muscles? I grew up in an era (the Paleolithic) when people kept their stomach muscles discreetly out of sight. " Dave Barry
Pledge to try catching your zzzs on your back tonight.
I always lie on my back when I sleep........and snore!
Today's photo is of the walkway on top of Cordeaux Dam which is one of the main Sydney basin water suppliers. The dam, set in beautiful gardens, was completed in 1926 and is a favourite spot for picnics.
Today's quote : "No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap." Carrie Snow
Pull your belly button to your back for a count of 10.
Sitting here doing this now! I regularly activate my core throughout the day.
Today's photo is another shot of the Buddhist Temple close to my house......amazingly beautiful place.
Today's quote : "When we were growing up, our mother taught us never to have your belly button exposed." Mary-Kate Olsen
