I must apologize I have been so tired the past few days & haven't made it to all my connection's posts. I keep falling asleep at the computer & have to get to bed!!
we had the perfect spring days today & yesterday. low humidity & temps 80 & under. still cool at night & good sleeping weather.
I was walking today & enjoyed the birds. I recognized a phoebe, mourning dove, the ever present red wing black birds, oriole, a catbird (quite the chatterbox, I talk back to him/her!!), blue jays, chickadees & the finches. it has been fun hearing them all as I walk the trail & in my yard!
my lilacs are finally starting to bloom. they are later than the ones in the neighborhood. can't wait to pick a few & put in a vase. they smell so heavenly!
in one week I will be taking another break as we will be on vacation!
I hope everyone has lovely plans for the holiday wknd. we are staying home but our daughter will be over with our granddaughter. my husband is a deacon at our church & is preaching this wknd. we'll take in the mass on Saturday & hopefully catch supper & a movie! my daughter's son & his dad are visiting relatives for the holiday wknd out of state. what will my daughter & granddaughter do? nice we can have a girls afternoon together! a rare treat without the guys!!

321 for points! not bad pact partner Sarah!! :-D thanks for pacting!! helps keep me focused!
I love fruit in the spring & summer! blueberries I currently have in the fridge & just got through some strawberries! yum raspberries!! I saw some wild raspberry vines on the trial blooming now! when they have berries on them, they are fun to pick though much smaller than what you buy in the store.
also when I walked on the trail today I saw 2 huge snappers sun bathing on an old muskrat house in the marsh. they were so big & probably so old that they were covered in green algae! kind of cool, almost prehistoric!
my granddaughter was sooo happy to get lasagna today after school! we made brownies & I had some left over chocolate chip cookies for my daughter (she loves them!). read a book to my grandson a true story about a feral cat (scarlett) who rescued her 5 kittens from a burning building in Long Island area in 1996. the author wrote a children's book 10 yrs later to celebrate her bravery. it made us all cry!! mom & kittens all got adopted.
it was such a nice day today! the pool was busy with new life guards in training for CPR & life saving techniques!! they are getting ready for the summer programs & camp!!

challenge done! there are plenty of resources where I live to recycle or dispose of electronics!
this is a short post as I have to get to bed early. I have carpet cleaners coming & then swimming & then the grandkids to pick up after school. busy busy busy!! fortunately I froze some lasagna I made previously & that will be supper tomorrow with them!
I had acupuncture today which was nice. I also finally bought some annuals to plant in the yard & did that today. Friday I will plant the rest in pots on my screen porch. the weather has been so cool & rainy lately, I haven't felt up to my usual spring planting. after all the rain the weeds are really growing!! did a little weeding... hopefully I can move tomorrow as it was quite a bit of activity for the old knee & back!
have a terrific Thursday everyone!
thanks sarah for our day 4. I hope the DC fairies are generous with points tomorrow!!

challenge done. a nice gentle stretch.
yay I got another window washed! ha ha... counting down. 5 done & 10 more to go!!
I met a new cat care client today. a grey/white elderly male cat short hair. he has a thyroid issue & the owner wants me to put .1 mg of the medication on my finger & rub it on the skin part of the inside of his ear (hopefully this will be better than a pill!!). he is not normally friendly but let me pet him & touch his ears. so hopefully he will be ok with me! I start on Friday with him for a week.
thanks to Vivian & Kris for the encouragement! ♥ ♥
day 3 Sarah!! :-D

thanks Kris & Vivian for your kind encouragements! ♥ ♥
I love leftovers! I often make a lot of food & like to freeze it, saving time in having to prepare a lot of meals instead I can have a frozen meal :-) I can vary it with different sides to keep it interesting!
I am slowly washing windows at my house. my goal is one a day. so far I have 5 down & 10 to go...
after all the wknd rain, it's so nice to have some sunshine today! yay!
Day 2 Sarah! ♥

I didn't do this today! I think I will thank my husband tomorrow when he does the grocery shopping! It's one of those thankless tasks that needs to get done!! He is so good about doing it weekly!
a very rainy day today. a good day for curling up with a book, getting some laundry & dusting done. we did go see the King Arthur movie tonight. it was a pretty different take on the legend. enjoyed it!
i did sneak in a walk between the rain. the birds are really busy singing & eating the food at my feeders! i even saw a few baby wood ducks in our yard, so cute! my husband noticed all the bird activity & he usually isn't as attentive as I am. I saw a female deer in the woods. i talked to her & she watched me as i walked slowly by, turning her head... she seemed very curious! too sweet!
have a good week everyone!
Sarah Day One of our pact!!
♥ ♥ ♥
there was no video for this one! I moved & I guess that's the point! ha ha :-D
I missed everyone! I was very busy with my cat care clients, making up to 5 visits a day. most homes had 2 cats & there's lots to do when people are on vacation! getting their mail, watering plants, food & water for their cats, litter boxes... fortunately the homes aren't too far apart but I still did at least 30 miles a day driving! it was fun caring for all the cats but I was exhausted by nighttime!
today we had rain rain & more rain! I had a female hummingbird visit my feeder which is under an overhang, so she got a break from the rain. I have a little bird swing with a red bauble that hangs in the middle. she initially sat on the top & finally figured out the swing! I read up on hummingbirds. their heart beats 1260 beats a minute. their breathing is 250 breaths a minute! wow!!
thanks Sarah for the pact request!
thanks to Kris & Vivian for their encouragements!
