I am 60. i have 2 adult children & between them I have 2 grandgirls & 1 grandson. I worked as a psych nurse in a hospital setting for over 25 yrs. It's great being retired! I love to read, take walks enjoying nature & going to movies! I currently live in Minnesota & am from Wisconsin originally. I am so sorry but i have enough connections to keep track of!! I do apologize as I would love to accept everyone! Thank you for visiting ♥ ♥ ♥

challenge done! I do some finger stretches routinely daily.

we have had a windy day today! leaves are blowing everywhere! I will be having a cat client just on Saturday this weekend which I am looking forward to. they are Lily & Sinatra. Sinatra is the cat who does summersaults rolling around on the floor when I visit. he is so cute :-) lily loves to be brushed. I am glad to get some work after my bad back pain flare up that I suffered the end of Aug into the beginning of sept. I have another client coming up in Oct too.

Sarah this is day 1 of our a pacting we will go pact!! yes! :-D

I got my swim & walk in today & some vacuuming! I filled feeders tonight too so the birds will be happy tomorrow! ;-))) I am missing the little hummingbirds who were migrating & stopped by my feeder & sat in my little bird swing!! I think they are all gone now!

thanks to whoever reads this & leaves comments! I appreciate your visits!

thank you Kris for your encouragement! ♥

we had a rainy day today. that's ok. I wanted a day off of housework! got my swim in & walk later when it stopped raining. went to my bible study. missed last week due to the colonoscopy ordeal. we are studying the book of Romans to start & life of Paul. should be interesting! I went to get my passport photo taken as I need to renew my passport just in case I visit London where my daughter & family are living!

I like fall and winter, however my body does not. I get cold and shiver which makes my body hurt. There are times when in air conditioning that the same response happens.

I love hummus & greek yogurt for dipping! I often use yogurt for fruit mixes & will eat veggies just raw, but if there is hummus around it is delicious to eat!

a low key day. I didn't swim but worked on some cleaning, baking & got my walk in!! I made a blueberry coffee cake. I do like to bake & my husband likes something sweet now & then :-) that is probably the last of the blueberries & now to think of apple recipes!

I hope everyone has a lovely week! fall is in the air & hopefully temps are cooling off for those in warmer areas.

thank you Kris, Rita & Vivian for your nice encouragements! ♥ ♥ ♥

I have lost about 30 lbs & am doing my best to maintain! :-) that's my challenge completed today!

I am feeling better today! able to eat normally. it's been a long week!

I enjoyed reading with my cats keeping me company! my daughter's 2 cats hung out too but they still don't like my cat Sadie. I am not sure if it's her color white or that she hides a lot & they aren't used to seeing her. my cat Oscar is all black like my daughter's cat Baby Gato. I think Pippi who is cranky, the biggest cat & growls at everyone Is used to Baby Gato & I think she has accepted Oscar easily as a result. poor Pippi! I think she really misses my daughter & her family. my cats Oscar & Sadie were sitting by me & their tails were moving in sync next to each other while I read, too cute :-)

we have had a gloomy day with drizzle & maybe some rain coming as I heard thunder...

have a restful sunday sunday everyone!

386 points Sarah! not bad for our go lightly pact!! :-))

I live in a split level & go up & down steps a lot. thank goodness I can still do steps with my knee that has no cartilage! thinking of fall, it will soon be time to rake leaves. I can do some raking & bag 2-3 bags but have to limit it due to my knee & back. I do stretches daily at home. also any type of cleaning I will put in there like vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, etc. today I washed the screened porch floor (& moved furniture to get everywhere) & dusted! ooh & sweeping floors too. I swept the driveway yesterday & recently swept out the garage, the leaves are blowing these days! I am picking up branches & bunches of leaves if I am out in the yard. when I fill bird feeders I am sweeping under feeder areas & lugging seed to my 11 feeders! last wknd I washed all 11 feeders!

speaking of feeders, I had a humming bird at my feeder this evening for 1 1/2 hrs. I have a little swing next to the feeder with a red bauble that hangs down & attracts the hummers to sit on it! she was so excited to drink & swing! too cute. then another hummer came & off she'd go chasing that one away! I enjoyed watching her :-)

in case anyone is wondering, today was a much better day after my dreadful colonoscopy experience from tues. I called the clinic again & they weren't too worried. just said to introduce more solid foods & keep active! she recommended walking, etc. I did get my walk & swim in too. after the versed & fentanyl from the procedure the bigger concern is intestinal blockage from constipation which is a big side effect from the drugs. so what I went through wasn't really typical. interesting...

I tried a new recipe in my crock pot. Moroccan chicken with chicken thighs, carrots, apricots, prunes & lots of spices like cinnamon, paprika, cumin & ginger. it is very tasty!! Yum!!

    I hope everyone has a nice wknd!! ♥ ♥ ♥

I have been eating fruit Lorenna. it's easier to digest. that procedure really upset my colon unfortunately. it just has to readjust & get back to normal! it is a twisted colon & I have irritable bowel syndrome which doesn't help, why I think I am having more problems ...see more

thank you Vivian for the encouragement! ♥

day 4 of our go lightly pact Sarah!! tomorrow counting points day!! yay!! :-D

I am not doing well today after the colonoscopy. lots of jumping of my poor colon & gas. I think that procedure really upset me! I called the clinic today & yesterday. they don't seem too concerned, so I just suffered. last night was hard to sleep with the internal grumbling.... then around 8 pm tonight things quieted down. I had been doing fluids, toast & popsicles. for the challenge I had peanut butter lightly spread on toast. let's hope tomorrow is ok!

I am always picking up things. I don't want to trip for sure! plus I am just a neat person!! I don't like clutter & like open spaces for walking.

sarah day 2 of our go lightly pact! tomorrow we will be going lightly over hump day! ha ha you made me laugh :-D

I stayed home today. not feeling the best after the colonoscopy. lots of gas which is a side effect of the procedure. yuk!! so I vacuumed & took care of the 4 cats & the red parrot Suki!! he has been chattering in his cage. sounds like a complete conversation but the words are of his making! too funny :-) its like another language. he even laughs at himself. must be telling himself a joke!
