wow 438 points Sarah!! that is pretty awesome!! thanks for the pact!
I couldn't remember how many seconds the challenge said & did it for 45 seconds!! balance exercises are good to do. I find as I age the balance thing is harder to do!
we had date night & saw "Jackie" the movie. my husband really liked it. interesting look at a segment in her life during the assassination of her husband president Kennedy. a reporter interviews her & she shares her feelings & thoughts. a clever way to tell a story...
we had seen "Hidden Figures" last week & that was an excellent movie! I highly recommend it! a bit of unknown history which was so interesting well acted!!
I have been taking the wknds off from swimming as I am swimming mon through Friday. I did get my walks in today & yesterday!! so nice that the snow on the trail has melted & I could actually walk in tennis shoes! unfortunately snow is in the forecast for Tuesday!
thank you Vivian for your encouragement! it is always nice to be remembered & thought of :-)
I hope everyone has a good start to their week!

so far so good, no complaining about anyone. hope I can make it until I go to bed!! ;-D
today was a foggy day!! I took a walk & it was so cool over the marsh along the trail! I like fog (but not to drive in!)
I haven't done a nature update lately. here goes! we have been having an owl hooting in our yard on & off over the last couple weeks at night. I suspect it's looking for a mate. I saw a pair of hawks in a tree probably courting!! the other day I drove by a tree that had a hawk in it eating it's catch (whatever it was!). I have been seeing flocks of birds that I don't know what they are but fun to watch them flying, shifting direction & staying together! (how do they do that?)occasionally I see crows in the neighborhood & yesterday 3 blue jays calling as they flew overhead by me while I was walking a dog! there has been more bird chatter with the warmer weather which is nice to hear!
point day Sarah!! ♥ ♥ ♥
I like eggs for breakfast, yogurt with fruit & oatmeal, peanut butter on toast, milk in my cereal!! all good sources of protein!
we are suppose to get rain tonight! & then fog on Saturday!! weird weather. there are huge melting puddles with ice underneath! it feels like March instead of January.
Sarah we have finished day 4 & tomorrow is count your points day!!
I hope everyone has a great wknd!!

today I noticed how the birds outside are more vocal. when it's so cold in the depths of winter, the birds are quiet. I think with our January thaw & sunshine the last 2 days, they are a twittering outside!! I love it!!
I walked a couple dogs & got my swim in!! that always feels good. my grandkids enjoyed their lasagna & brownies for dessert. I always pack a little paper lunch bag with after school treats. I have fun drawing pictures on the bags for them. my daughter came home from work & they all left to register my 4 yr old grandson for kindergarten next year. he is sooo excited! he wants to learn things! so cute :-)
I have one more week after Friday of dog walking & then my boss is training in my replacement. I have been struggling with this loss of the job. I really like it! I just can't do what she needs done to take vacations & have days off. I have been splitting the dogs walking daily but she does the bulk of the work. she wants days off & to travel! this is due to the arthritis & fibro pain getting worse. aging is a challenge. I just heard today a fellow nurse has been put in memory care as she is having difficulty in her independent living apartment. that made me sad. she is the age my mom would be now, 82.
Sarah we have finished day 3!! over the hump!!

challenge done!! day 2 Sarah, we are rolling along! ;-)
our weather is in a January thaw now!! snow is melting!! I hear we may get rain on Friday!! good grief (for Minnesota this is not usual).
I heard an owl hooting tonight after dark!! it's been on & off the last week or two... I bet it's looking for a mate. I think they nest in February.
I walked 4 dogs today & checked on a cat! then swimming & vacuuming the house. I am picking up my grandkids tomorrow after school. my granddaughter wanted lasagna so I made a huge batch tonight plus brownies for dessert. she is in a growth spurt & craving carbs. oooh for those teenage days again! my daughter's boyfriend has to go to London one week a month for his job. he is gone now... so it's nice to be available to help out & hang out!

thanks to Kris & Lynne for your encouragements!! :-D
I made a salad for supper tonight with spinach, apples, tangelos & grapefruit. I found this great organic dressing with papaya & poppy seeds! it is very yummy. the spinach raw is great in a salad.
we are in a January thaw! snow is melting! it is so slushy & dirty out there on the roads! I took one of the dogs to a park so he could roll in clean snow. he loves the snow!
thank you Sarah for our first pact day!!

thank you Vivian for your lovely encouragement!! ♥
thanks Sarah for the pact invite!! ♥
challenge done!! I have a few places I make donations to & they take DVDs & CDs.
the icy rain didn't start until after 6 pm. lots of school delays for tomorrow morning. it is worse south of us. hopefully the sun will melt it tomorrow!! weird weather. I would rather walk in cold weather than worry about glazed icy roads & sidewalks!
one of the dogs I walk was happy to see me today! I got a kiss on my nose! too cute. at another's dog's house he had a visiting dog who is full grown but still acts like a puppy! he liked to pick up sticks & carry them. also he would roll in the snow too! they both saw kids sledding down a hill at a school that was off for MLK day. the dogs were entranced, sitting & watching the kids. then one of them went up to the "saucer" & I thought he was going to get in for a ride!! why should those kids have all the fun!!
I happened to look out my front window & there was a muskrat crossing the street from our yard to the neighbor's who's property borders on the marsh across the street. I have been seeing muskrat houses in the little marshes in my neighborhood. I thought they were hibernating for the winter!!
